COMPLIANCE FOR THE CARE SECTOR
The provision of Care is a (rightly) highly regulated activity. Clients tend to be the most vulnerable in society, whether their care is provided in care homes or their own homes with domiciliary carers.
Oversight of the provision of care is so important and all care providers are vigorously inspected by CQC.
Regulation 19 "Fit and Proper Persons Employed" means that care providers have a duty to ensure that all staff involved in providing care are suitable for the role.
I have extensive experience in recruitment of care staff and maintaining compliant HR records.
I have been involved in several CQC inspections for care providers and in all cases the care providers have maintained their "Good" rating or exceeded their rating, one company went from "Requires Improvement" to "Good" and another went from "Good" to "Outstanding" in care.
Services I offer include auditing existing policies and HR records, conducting mini "Inspections" and implementing my tried and tested policies and procedures.
COMPLIANCE FOR THE SPONSORSHIP EMPLOYERS
Sponsorship of overseas staff is being severely curtailed by recent government policies and many companies, particularly in the Care Sector are losing their sponsorship licences. This leaves a huge number of sponsored employees displaced and stranded.
I am delighted that one of the care companies I provide HR support to have been awarded an additional allocation of Certificates of Sponsorship. I put in a request with good reasons for that request and to everyones astonishment, they were granted by the Home Office.
Sponsorship comes with a huge obligation to ensure compliance, and the regular audits and record keeping strategies I have developed ensure that the companies are fully compliant.
COMPLIANCE FOR BUSINESSES
All businesses should have policies and procedures that ensure they are working within the relevant legislation.
I have developed a robust range of policies that can be adapted for every type of business, these policies go over and above the statutory minimums so employers can rest assured that their business will always be trading safely and fairly.
